miscarriageFrom: amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 11 Oct 1997 21:32:40 -0500 (CDT)
I have a question about miscarriages. Last year I found out I was pregnant when I was about i month along. The day after that I began to bleed heavily. My doctor said that I was having a miscarriage and to just rest a lot. I scheduled an appointment for 2 and a half months later. When I went into that appointment I had not had my period since the miscarriage. They did a pregnancy test and found out I was pregnant. I had to have an ultrasound to find out how far along I was. I was three and a half months. Now my doctor said that it is not possible for me to have been carrying twins and only miscarrying one of them. They had taken blood and done HCG count test and the lowest it went was 2. They said that it wouldn't go any lower and to not worry about it. Does any one know if it is possible to miscarry onw twin and carry the other one to term. I am happy to say that I have a healthy 8 1/2 month old son, but I still would like to know if I was possibly pregnant with twins. All replies are welcomed. Thank you
-- Amy
