>Whether from endometriosis or just painful periods associated with K- I second Dr. Marchbein's opinion. I had severe pain during my periods in my teenage years (some 15+ years ago!). My mother took me to her family practitioner and he said it was *all in my head*. Needless to say, I found a new doctor in a hurry! My cramps would leave me incapacitated for 3-4 days per cycle. I would spend the days with a heating pad on my pelvic area and rocking in a rocking chair. Not fun. The new Dr. prescribed all types of meds - none helped the pain. She then put me on birth control pills and it was a lifesaver! It regulated my periods and almost totally relieved my cramps. All I needed was a Pamprin and I was set. So, like Dr. M. said, see a gynecologist for a thorough exam and go from there. You'll be glad you did! Write back and let us know what happens. Sincerely,
-- Mary
