I am not a Dr. but I have also had a miscarriage (8 years ago). Based on some of the recent discussions on this topic it usually takes 6-8 weeks for periods to resume. I know it is hard to wait for something that is basically out of your control. As far as your concerns about being given provera and possibly being pregnant, I would suggest you skip another hpt (save the $) and have the Dr. run a serum pregnancy test (since it can detect pregnancy sooner than a urine test) before prescribing the provera. That way you will know for certain and won't have any doubts if, in fact, you need to take the provera. Hoping the best for you and your hubby!
