Jane, I am so sorry to hear of your difficulties. I believe you may be referring to a *papillary serous cyst of borderline malignant potential*. If this is, indeed the diagnosis, attempts at pregnancy should be just fine.

The oncologist should run the show as your RE indicated because your RE has his or ger own specialty and they don't want to harm you because of a problem not in the scope of their daily practice. The oncologist is the best one to indicate treatment now if any is necessary on an oncologic basis. If none is necessary and the RE is cleared to go to work, that's great!

It would be important to ask the oncologist if, at any time in the future, the borderline malignant potential diagnosis would indicate a need for future surgery after childbearing is complete. Only the oncologist with a full pathology report can help determine this.

BTW, years ago had an 18 year old with a borderline malignant potential cyst (18 centimeters... huge!) and after two kids, is fine, requires no further surgery and is healthy.
