Repeated positive ovulation predictor test (9 days)From: anonymous@obgyn.netFri, 22 Aug 1997 08:27:38 -0700
Brienne Taloff@AIRTOUCH 08/22/97 08:27 AM I went off the pill (Ortho Novum 777) in June after 12 years - LMP 6/15/97. I got a +++ on an ovulation predictor kit on 8/13, after 12 days of a test line that was just slightly lighter than the control line. I have continued to have +++ tests for 9 days and am wondering what would cause this? I have had some pregnancy symptoms (sore, full breasts and I'm noticing veins that I didn't see before, nausea, sensitivity to odor, fatigue, cramps and some constipation) but had a negative serum hCG test on 8/19. Could I be pregnant and testing too early? Any other causes for the OPK result? Thanks for any help you can give. (I'm 30 years old, normal weight, have never been pregnant and have no health problems.) I do have an appointment to see the NP in my doctor's office early next week but am impatient by nature and starting to worry a little.
