Menstrual problems status post tubal ligation

I'm a 25-year-old gravida 2 para 2. I had a tubal ligation in April, 1996.

Everything about my periods has changed since then. The only symptom I suffered prior to the tubal was horrendous cramps. Thank goodness I no longer have those, but now I have a plethora of other afflictions. I get raging headaches. My face breaks out so badly that I'm embarrassed to go into public. I bleed much heavier and longer. Worst of all, I have terrible mood swings.

I realize that all these things are common to PMS, but it puzzles me that my personal pattern changed so drastically after my tubal. I find my new symptoms very hard to deal with physically as well as emotionally.

Is this something that happens a lot?

What can I do?
