Andrea,

I'm sure the doctors here at Forum will be able to provide some reassurance or insight to help you, but thought I'd share my own experience. I nursed my son as well and I was surprised that my periods weren't like they were before. My first period came on Christmas day (what a present, huh?) and both the length of the period and the time between periods was NOT what I was used to. Also the spotting and greater number of heavy flow days. It took several months before it started to normalize and I'm happy to say that things seem to be back to prepregnancy cycles. So, give yourself a little time and I'm sure your cycles will straighten out too...seemed like with each passing cycle things got a little closer to normal.

Best of luck to you and your little one!
