Dr. Marchbein,

Yes, my mother is now taking fosomax, as she does have severe osteo. She too had a hysterectomy in her early 40's, but at that time, ERT was frowned upon, feeling the risk of cancer was greater than the risk of osteo. She suffered a compression fracture, thus the osteo was diagnosed. Seeing her, I have been quite concerned about osteo, though I did realize that since I will only be without estrogen for a short time, I should be fine. Thanks for your response. It eases my mind a great deal.
