The oncologist is the best person to answer this. The gyn oncologists I've met or worked with have all been skilled, straightforward, and caring. *Again,* there are many effective treatments for cancer. One of the best experiences I had as a resident was doing the outpatient gyn oncology clinic--here were women who were living full, normal lives without evidence of recurrent disease many, many years out from initial diagnosis. So what I wish for you now is a quick, comprehensive discussion with a compassionate oncologist. Best wishes to you.
