Annette, Delayed menses can be caused by many things - from stress, to thyroid or other endocrine problems, to early pregnancy loss. Since you are trying to get pregnant, I think you are doing the right thing by seeing your OB/GYN. He/she can help determine the problem and provide other services to start your pregnancy off right.
