Well, it depends on what you are looking for. If you use Lupron, you could later do IVF and have a baby of your own. If you have a hysterectomy you will never carry your own child.

If you have already completed your family or know you don't want your own biologic child(ren), then a hysterectomy may provide longterm and more complete pain relief.

You definitely need to have a long talk with your own doctor about all the pros and cons, "what-ifs" and alternatives.
