Terminology hysterectomy pathology reportFrom: Susan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 22 May 1997 10:03:10 -0500 (CDT)
My pathology report states as diagnosis: uterus and cervix with extensive adenomyosis, inactive endometrium with chronic endometritis, leiomyomas. ovaries, bilateral with periovarian adhesions and endosalpingiosis. I understand adenomyosis is endometriosis that has invaded the muscle wall of the uterus. I was never diagnosed with endo. Does this also mean I had endo on my tubes? What are the chances the endo has spread to my bladder and bowel? The doctor didn't mention this. I am taking Premarin .625 and am concerned this may feed any endo that has spread. I would appreciate help understanding this pathology report and the implications. My hyst was for menometroragghia secondary to fibroid uterus. Thank you. Susan Fenster
