Cheryl,

on the head.

Last fall I was experiencing ever worsening joint stiffness, tingeling and aches in my toes, ankles, thumbs and elbows. Some days it extended up my arms to my shoulders. It hurt for me to pich even my purse with my arm extended. It had been going on for almost a year but was getting worse.

Sister Barbara suggested stress but I pooh-poohed her. Surely that could not be it. No way. These were REAL aches and pains. Not in my head! I went to see my Ob/Gyn and told him about the symptoms (I see my Ob/Gyn for everything. I wish he did dental work;-) He thought stress might indeed be the problem. I didn't believe it but I humored him. He suggested I try Zoloft just to see if it helped.

Within a month the symptoms were gone and have not returned. I am one of those strong, self reliant types Laurie mentioned. Maybe we just tense up at night and don't even realize it. I don't know but I feel a lot better without all those aches and pains.

I am so sorry for your loss. You certainly have reason enough to be stressed and depressed. Don't ignore it.

Of course it could be something else entirely but why not rule this out first? Certainly you could use the peace of mind.

Good Luck, Roberta
