Anything would be helpful > > Ruth Smith I am not sure what you are talking about, but the latest treatment that I have heard about is from Europe and consists of putting a catheter into the artery supplyaing the fibroid under X-Ray guidance and then injecting something to block off the artery. This causes the fibroid to die from lack of Oxygen. This is still very experimental and as far as I know, it is being done only in Europe. It will be several years yet before something of this nature is a standard of care, if it ever is. It needs to be evaluated and women who have had it as part of an experimental protocol will need to be followed for years to find out how good it is.
