Jessica, I spoke to another young woman today who had a very similar story. I'm sorry to find that you are suffering from the Depo-Provera, but I do think that is the underlying problem. Try to hang in there and feel better...it may take a little time. >

I really really doubt it. Hot flashes can happen from Depo, anxiety too.

Maybe in the "old days" but no one will take out a uterus on a 27 year old woman today for anything short of big time disease or cancer...feel reassured that you are still young.

Yes.

No. Hemorrhaging is where the bleeding is so much so fast that it gets into your shoes.

In medical school they grade you on being "nice". We're all nice when it comes right down to it. Sometimes we're just tired. Anyway...Depo Provera can affect your periods for longer than it's supposed to. I would recommend trying some plain estrogen of some kind to stop the bleeding, then get onto a birthcontrol pill. Sometimes you just have to stop all hormones and let it work itself out of your system. Of course you must be meticulously careful about birth control. See what your doctor recommends, but I know it's not menopause and you don't need a hysterectomy unless you get a handful of 2nd opinions that all say the same thing. (We NEVER agree that much anyway!)

Good luck!
