He has not done any testing to determine what the cause of my amenorrhea is. He has only done a pelvic examination (after the second course of clomid). He says I probably have PCO, but he felt no cysts and did not do any blood tests or ultrasound, etc. In your opinion, is he not being thorough enough? Should I look for another doctor? PCO can be diagnosed with a sonogram and/or FSH/LH. Although the ratio of these two are frequently 1:2 or 1:3 (Dr. Lovely pointed out in a previous post that this is not necessarily so). I would check out the thyroid function tests and prolactin level. I feel that more information would be helpful. -- Harvey S.
