Hi Alexandra, Dysplasia, although something that should be followed and treated as necessary, is not a factor when considering HRT. Fibroids routinely shrink in the menopause and HRT has *not* been shown, in recent articles, to cause the growth of fibroids. Now we get to breast disease. HRT has been associated with a slight increase in benign breast disease (cysts, fibroadenomas) and is questionably, at best, associated with an increased incidence of breast cancer (studies have shown a slight increase, no increase at all and a slight decrease). If you wish to reap the benefits of HRT (reduced cardiovascular disease, reduced osteoporosis, reduced Alzheimer's in addition to reduced colon cancer, etc.) do so.
