Only you can decide when you have suffered enough, and when the risks associated with hysterectomy are worth taking to improve your quality of life (or save it!) I hope that you find some answers to your questions in the references I listed, and that you are at peace with your decision before you get on the OR table. A very wise woman named Kelly Shanahan, whom you may have seen messages from on this forum, told me this, "Remember, if you believe that you have made the right decision, then you have made the right decision, no matter what anyone else says." Couldn't have said it better myself. Godspeed, and e-mail if you would like to chat or ask questions. I had my hysterectomy only four weeks ago and feel so much better - I have healed quickly and have no regrets. E-mail is SEBoyles@aol.com
