Ovarian cysts

I posted a message a couple of months ago about the ovarian cysts I have endured the past seven years. I understand that they usually go away after a time, but, it isn't only with ovulation that it happens. It is springs on me suddenly and goes away after a period of time. I fear intimacy with my husband because it becomes too painful to walk afterwards (sometimes). I am not looking for a cure or anything, I've handled it this long so far, but I'd like to know why it hits so suddenly without warning. It would be nice to know if there is something besides painkillers that I can do to deaden the pain like eat anything specific or stay away from particular foods. I heard rumors that pregnancy does away with the cysts, is that true? (not like I'd just get pregnant to get rid of the pain)
