Ashley Hill, M.D.: "Re: Painful Intercourse" Dear H.W. Having married a man who is 1' 2" taller than myself I was also somewhat uncomfortable with intercourse the first six months or so. I am a very petite person and he is not, including his penis. I found that the frequency of intercourse seemed to help "stretch me out". Even now if we have an "off" week now I will sometimes feel like I am ripping a little. It feels somewhat like a burning sensation; especially if I go pee after sex. I would try to step up the frequency of intercourse and see if that helps stretch you out. Good luck and keep trying. Anne N.
