It came as such a shock when I read your post. After "lurking" on the OBGYN-l for the last 6 months and being a member of this forum since it's inception, I feel like I know you and perhaps that's why this news seemed to hit me so hard. My deepest sympathies go out to you and your husband. It must be incredibly discouraging and frustrating for you and no one BUT you can make the decision to try again. I hope that you will find the answers that you seek and that the choice you make will be an easy one...either way. As a woman, in terms of parenthood this may be a setback, but you are in NO WAY a failure...you have done so much and have helped so many people and your successful practice and marriage are evidence of just what a wonderful and special woman that you are. It's who you are and how you live your life that make you a woman...not the fact that you were pregnant. If it's in the stars (or in The Plan), then it will happen. I hope for your sake, that you are blessed soon with that little bundle you so strongly seek...but only if it's your decision to try again.
