Re: Ovarian Cysts & Irregular PeriodsFrom: Cherae (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 16 Apr 1997 16:54:06 -0500 (CDT)
> Hello Janet- I thought you might want a perspective from someone who has gone through this. (cysts) When I was 13 (puberty) I started my period and then started getting pains in my side and my doc (like any doc) told me not to worry about it, that it was "cysts that should disappear". Well it continued and I asked them to check again that I didn't think that it had disappeared, and they found 12.5 inch cyst. It had caused my tubes to crinkle over and pull. The pain was not from the cyst, but from the messed up placement of my organs. It was then that they decided it wasn't going to disappear and to do a lap. If you are worried about the surgery, don't be! If your cyst is still there and if you need the surgery, it will feel imediatly better! :) I promise! :) Best of luck to you. I hope you feel better!
