My periods for the past 4 years have been very light. My last two periods were much heavier with some cramping. I was worried that the Norplant was running out. My doctor gave me some birth control pills for the hormones to smooth out the periods. He said there is no chance that the Norplant is no longer effective. I question this. Does anyone have any information on the effectiveness of a Norplant in the final months?
