Blood TestsFrom: Arlois (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 31 Mar 1997 04:17:16 -0600 (CST)
Normal blood tests have "average range" values and results are rated H (high) L (low) accordingly. I'am a 51 year old who is still menstrating normally and regularly. Since I am in less than the 50% of the population and a group getting smaller each year. What can I expect in changes in these "average range" values that will not be true for me. I recently had a blood test that had me as a 51 year old "MALE". The actual values and ratio stated the same but the "H" and "L" and "average range" values were different. My doctor changed treatment procedures for hypertension and chlosteral until my husband noticed the error.
