Lots of thisngs can cause bleeding in between periods, including normal hormonal changes. Your friend could have a condition medical intervention. Women who have lots of heaving bleeding can become anemic which can cause other medical problems. Fibroids are a common cause of heavy or irregular bleeding, they happen to about 25% of all women at some point in their lives. They are also highly treatable. Tell her we are all concerned and get her a referral to a reputable OBGYN. Take care,
