I am 25 years old and have a 3 month old baby girl. I am also suffering from post partum depression. I have been seriously depressed for about a month, but I just started treatment 3 days ago. I have seen my OB/GYN for this problem and he has given me a prescription for Zoloft (50 mg./day). Tomorrow, I will be seeing my regular doctor for a follow-up appointment. Has anyone else gone through this situation? I feel so anxious, sad, panicky, etc. I can't believe these little pills are going to do the trick, but I would love to hear from someone who has "survived" this. Anyone have any experience with Zoloft? When do you start to feel the effects? Any responses will be greatly appreciated.
