I was able to read some info regarding bartholin's abscess but limited information on what to do if it is a cyst already. 1. Is it best to have the cyst removed even if there are no pain or discomfort? 2. If left alone, can it become cancerous later on? My friend was recently diagnosed with bartholin's cyst. Her doctor advised that there is no need to have it removed. Some additional information about my friend: 1. she is in her early 50's. 2. she had a hysterectomy last 1992. 3. she is taking hormones - premarin specifically.
