Thank you so mvery much for your thoughtful answer to my question.

I am the mother-in-law to a breast cancer surgeon and the mother to an lawyer (daughter) so I have the the opportunity to throw my thoughts out and get lots of feedback. (All I need now is a dentist in the family and I'm covered from all sides).

Seriously, we as consumers MUST find someway to stop this downward sprial that is going on in the healthcare industry.

We cannot allow insurance companies to make the doctor take the hit on this one!!! It is a sad state of affairs when someone sits in an office and decides what I Can or Cannot have done when my physician has made a decision based on years of training. How about all those phone calls to and from insurance companies questioning your choices??? Do you get reimbursed for the time that takes???

Thank you again for your insightful letter. You are truly a credit to your profession.
