I am so glad to see so many wonderful posts and terrific answers on the forum so far...and it's only been in operation for a few days! This forum is obviously filling a need and should become even more valuable over time, as the questions and answers grow and the knowledge available to women visiting the site expands. Thank you to all the physicians who are so graciously volunteering their time to assist us in answering questions. This is truly a unique arena and I am very happy to be a part of this endeavor, and to be working with Barbara Nesbitt. My name is Darcy Johnson and I'm co-moderator of this forum with Barbara. I am mom to a very special 17-month old boy and I'm also on my way to becoming a medical transcriptionist, so the propect of a women's health forum was very interesting to me! I am now entrenched in my thirties and share my birthday with the birth of this forum (which makes it even MORE special!). I made the adjustment from career woman to full-time mom when my son was born (with no regrets, but lots of adjustments!). I've been through a pregnancy with gestational diabetes and a c-section delivery and now am "studying" toddlerhood with on-the-job training! With my love of medicine, I enjoy challenges and learning new things all the time, so I'm really looking forward to all topics brought to this forum! Thank you, to all of you who have posted so far. I hope that the information you have received in response has been of benefit to you and that it will serve a useful purpose to other women visiting the site as well.
