Lap Results - What do they really mean?From: Annette (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 28 Feb 1997 11:26:18 -0600 (CST)
In Oct of 96 I had laprascopic surgery after a HSG showed that both of my tubes were blocked. After the surgery the doctor reported to me that there were able to free up the left tube and ovary, which had been adhered to the pelvic wall as a result of scar tissue that formed after I had my appendix removed two years ago. The doctor stated that the right tube and ovary looked "perfect" but that they could not get any dye to flow through. There were no adhesions on the right tube & ovary. Here are my questions: If the left ovary was covered by adhesions, is it dead? Will it return to it's normal condition and ovulate as it should? And what are my chances of conceiving with 1 good tube (left) and two good ovaries (left & right)? I am currently taking clomid (100mg) and am two days late but experiencing very, very light brown spotting for those two days so I am expecting to begin my period any time. Thank you for your insight - and thank you for this forum - it's a wonderful thing!
