Hi. For the past 2 years I have come down with some strange symptoms. It all started when I decided to go off my birth control. Soon after when I went for my PAP, I found out I had a yeast infection which I immediately cured with meds from my doctor. However, I noticed several other symptoms such as (1) increased acne, (2) constipation [like bowel obstruction, felt the urge to go but couldn't], (3) increased appetite especially for sugary foods, (4) increased bloated weight (that I could not lose from diet nor exercise) and (5) extreme vaginal dryness. After waiting several months with no change in symptoms, I decided to go back on my old birth control Estrostep believing it was the reason behind it all. However, after several months on it again, the symptoms stayed the same. So I switched to Yasmin. This produced no change of my symptoms except an increased appetite for sugary foods. In October 2008 I went off birth control completely and all my symptoms slowly disappeared EXCEPT extreme vaginal dryness. Sex is uncomfortable even with lubrication and leaves a burning sensation for days. My vaginal walls are extremely tender as well and with sexual contact I usually feel sore after. Over the past two years I have been to 4 gynecologists, 5 general practioners, and several other experts and they are all stumped. I have had normal PAP smears, negatives for all STDs, and a normal blood test and saliva test showing normal hormone levels. No one has helped me solve this problem. Some new updates are: (1) every once in awhile I produce a very watery clear discharge but mostly every day I have no discharge at all and an extremely dry vagina, (2) sometimes this watery discharge comes out of my anus, not my vagina, and (3) the first day of my period the blood comes out of my anus, not my vagina. Rather, my vagina stays blood free and dry. Lastly, I am only 23 years old. Can someone please help me???
