MENORRHAGIA: Irregular periods and pressure feelings

I have two issues going on that are frightening me a bit and wondering if I should worry. I have scheduled a dr appt but earliest appt is July 6th. Just looking for insight, not a diagnosis.

I've had irregular periods since February of this year, right after my honeymoon. I've had one period since February in mid-April and still have not started yet. I have stopped using birth control pills September last year, 9 months ago. I continued to have regular periods for 5 months, and then the irregularity just started in February.

This has happened one other time 10 years ago. I had an incident where I skipped one month, and then skipped 4 or 5 months! After that, the periods came back regular and normal. That was before I ever used birth control. The common denominator with this time and 10 years ago is that both times it was right after getting married and taking a honeymoon overseas. The first honeymoon was 10 yrs ago, and the irregularity happened after I flew to Hawaii and came back home. A dr. suggested either elevation change or stress although I did not feel stressed. This time I've also just gotten married and took an overseas cruise for a week in February. Again, I do not feel stressed. My husband and I lived together before getting married so the marriage itself was an easy stress-free elopement.

This time around though, (this did not happen last time) I am feeling some pressure near my left hip that started a week ago, around June 16th. According to my basal body temps I should have ovulated about that same time - so if my basal body temp is correct and I'm doing it correctly I am assuming I ovulated around June 16th. The pressure itself kind of comes and goes, but sometimes I will feel a "cool" sensation, or sometimes a fluttery feeling all in the same area, or a pinched nerve feeling. It doesn't even hurt bad at all, just feels very weird. I'm holding off on going to an ER unless it gets worse. Any ideas or insights?

Thanks, D
