ULTRASOUND: Red/Blue Image:From: Shandra (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 15 Jun 2009 14:36:34 -0500 (CDT)
Hello, I had an ultrasound due to pelvic pain and numbness as a result of my 3rd c-section. Everything was fine, but when the technician viewed the problem area a part of the image turned red and blue. Is that an indication of a problem or inflammation? Or was that just determining my blood flow? I'm asking because when I had back problems while pregnant I had an ultrasound done and the screen turned red and yellow I believe, and after that I was told I had a really bad kidney infection. My doctor wasn't in, therefore I think the nurse neither the technician could tell me what looked to be the problem if any. If my Dr says nothing is wrong, should I get a 2nd opinion? Should I request a 2nd ultrasound? This pain and discomfort is making it hard to stand for long periods, I kind of limp a bit sometimes when I walk, and I could barely hold my child due to the weight/pressure that bears down on that area. I really need to know what is causing this pain. What else can I do or ask my Dr. to check to find out what the problem could be? Thank You so much for your time and help.
