CHRONICPAIN: right sided pelvic pain for 2 yearsFrom: Rebecca (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 27 May 2009 20:19:55 -0500 (CDT)
I have been experiencing right sided pelvic pain (approx. near my right ovary area?) for 2 years. I had a c-section 2 1/2 years ago and pain started about 6 months after that. The pain at its worst is a severe sharp stabbing burning feeling that lasts all day and I often feel a sudden stabbing even with no movement. The pain comes twice a month - for 3-4 days during my period it is a mild to moderatly painful burning stabbing feeling that is contant day and night for the duration. I then hae the most severe pain 1-2 weeks after my period ends. It starts as an occasional burning pain the first day and by the next day I am having the constant sharp stabbing burning pain for 1 week total. I am in so much pain it hurts to walk, hurts with light touch to area and I will often get the sudden stabbing pain even when I sit still. No OTC pain relievers will touch the pain. THe pain is progressively getting more unbearable as time goes on. I have normal periods every 28 -30 days with normal - light bleeding, mild mestrual cramps occasionaly on the first day. I have charted the pain along with my periods for the last several months and there is a definite pattern to it. I can expect to feel this pain at the same time every month. I have no idea what this could be. I do not have any STD's and am 100% positive my husband is faithful to me. I have tried to be as detailed as possible, any help would be very much appreciated as I don't know where to seek help about this. I did have a pelvic ultrasound about a year ago and was told it was normal. Thank you for your help.
