GENERAL: not sure what this could be...

About 1 1/2 years ago, I was having pretty severe pain on my left side (lower pelvis & up in my waist) and fevers. After a full workup, including CT & colonoscopy, US, blood work, etc., it was determined I had an endometrioma. I had surgery about a year ago and had endometriosis, adhesions, the endometrioma & left ovary & tube removed. Now, within the last few weeks, I started having the same type of pain and fevers again. It feels exactly like it did last year. The pain I had last year went away after my surgery. I'm very confused about this because I don't have an ovary or tube on the left side anymore. What else could be causing this pain? Can endometriosis cause fevers also? My gp is puzzled because he says without the ovary, I should not be having pain on that side. He says it can't be gastrointestinal because all of those tests were normal last year. I have no bowel symptoms and no bladder symptoms. The only symptoms I have are pelvic pain (mostly on the left side, but when examined I am tender all over; it is just a lot more intense on the left side), lot's of pain deep in the pelvis during pelvic exam, pain on the left side in my waist, and fevers. The pain has been so severe that I have had to miss a few days of work because of this. My doctor has given me toradol, ultram, and darvocet to treat the pain. I have not been sexually active since before my last surgery. Any other suggestions?
