GENERAL: ulcerated granulation tissueFrom: Elisa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 29 Apr 2009 11:12:05 -0500 (CDT)
I recently visited the doctor because of painful intercourse. She found strangulated granular tissue in my vagina. She removed it and cauterized it with silver nitrate. Now, 2 months later, I am experiencing the pain again. The tissue grew back, though this time it is not as red, or as big. She mentioned that it was ulcerated near the base of the tissue. When she touched it with a q-tip, it seemed that the ulcerated part was causing the pain, not the tissue itself. She has recommended that I use Premarin cream on it every other day. However, I tried that the first time, and noticed a significant drop in my milk supply. I am still breastfeeding and am not quite ready to wean. Are there any other topical treatments I can try? If she removes it again, what are the odds that this tissue will continue to grow back?
