I have had 4 babies and my cervix never started dilating until I went into labor. I don't think that it's all that unusual for that to happen. Also, I knew my dates were accurate for the last three and my last one was born 8 days past the due date. Even when you know when you got pregnant, the "due date" is still an estimate.
