Usually it never occurs in first pregnancy. If patient had previous repeted termination of pregnancy, forceps delivar , precipitate labour etc it results in incompetence. I advice you to have rest and at next songrphy shows further shortening in cervical length ,you should go for circalge operation It is a minor procedure and we used Proline no.1 thread for tighting with excellent results. The sututes are to be removes at fetal maturity-36 to 38 weeks or early is you go in labour or abortion. I never do tightnind befor 13-14 weeks of preg. Dr.Narayan Patel M.D.D.G.O.
