CHRONICPAIN: Rectocele

From: Patti (anonymous@obgyn.net)

I have very achy, painful muscles in my rectum, particularly when I am standing. I've been diagnosed with a rectocele and wonder if this could be the reason. Other than have the rectocele repaired, how do I treat these painful muscles. I've read about injections, but which type of doctor would do this? I've been to colon rectal doctor who never offered me treatment. Physical therapy has helped somewhat, but not nearly enough. I am thinking of a ganglion impar block. I can no longer live an active lifestyle and I am only 53. Any suggestions or thoughts on this problem. I am desperate.
