Re: CHRONICPAIN: At loss for a what could cause this lower abdominal pain. From: meagank03 (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 26 Feb 2009 00:33:28 -0600 (CST)
Hi my name is meagan. I have gastritis and I always feel ill or sick to my stomach after I eat. Your post really caught my attention and if you do not mind I just have a few questions. Now for my gatritis I do take prilosec every night before bed because it is worse at night and in the morning. My dr found out I had gastrtis while I was on my search for the reason behind my chronic pelvic pain. I had numerous surgeries and eventually found my way to the gastrointerologist. He performed both and endoscopy and colonoscopy. I felt so silly here were all these older folks and a 23 yr old 4 ft 8 girl. I was down to 82 pounds one of them asked if I had an eating disorder. he told me to take the prilosec and I have phenergan that I take every so often. The other thing that I wanted to ask you and I know that I do not know you but do you have an IUD placed or sex without a condom recently? The reason I ask is last year a week after I had mine placed I had the same sharp and throbbing pains that you describe. I went to the er and they found out that I had pelvic inflammatory disease caused my staph and strep that had gone up with the IUD. If you start or are running a temp I would be checked out because it could be more than a UTI. If you do go to another dr and he cannot find the cause please do not give up your search. After I was released from the hospital I was diagnosed with chronic pelvic pain from my general practicioner. It took me 6 months to find out that the staph had damaged all my nerves in my pelvic floor. For me warm baths, yoga, heating pads all help. Im not sure what you can do without insurance and I hope that it is just a digestive issue. please please do not give up your search I will be thinking of you and you can email me anytime it is whoucallinshorty18@hotmail.com. I would continue the cranberry pills they always come in handy if you cannot always drink the juice :) because trust me cathers are no fun. also keep trying the prilosec and can help with the heart burn and nausea also little known fact benadryl does wonders for nausea also. I send you many hugs very very big ones
