A number of other issues are relevant to know such as your age, prior if any pregnancies, surgery, infections, etc. It sounds like your doctor is on the right path for you and I would encourage you to run these questions by him/her to your satisfaction. He/she will be far more familiar with the other details and more able to give you accurate information. When in doubt, a second opinin from a qualified source is always a good idea.
