I had my wisdom teeth pulled on Monday, and the dentist didn't speak to me before prescribing me penicillin, which I understand can alter the effectiveness of me tricyclen lo. I was expecting to be able to speak with him before he sent me home, but the office merely handed my husband a couple of pieces of paper with prescriptions on them, and sent us home. I'm a little frustrated by this, but nonetheless, it's done now, and can't really be undone. My concern is this- how much does penicillin affect my birth control? My husband is very upset, as it would not be convenient for us to have a child at this time.
