CHRONICPAIN: My Pelvic Pain IssuesFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netSat, 27 Dec 2008 19:48:08 -0600 (CST)
Started in 2000 after birth of my daughter. I had labor comp. after being induced on Fri & then having er csect on Sun.I noticed the pain afterwards & the doc said it would go away that it had been caused by the two hrs I pushed & her head was hitting my tail bone. The pain increased the next year while I was preg. with my son.I had to go to pt & wear a mothertobebelt as well & then later an SI Belt. They told me that the muscles had been stretched & so that one side of my pelvic bone moves out of place (forward) which then causes my muscles to stretch tight.I have pains in the middle of my butt cheeks as well as my lower back & around the front of my pelvic bone. Both sides move forward at different times. This has been going on since 2000 & it is affecting my hips & legs as well. The docs that I have spoken to keep sending me back to pt. Where they use heat & tensing to help relax the muscles as well as stretches. This does help but I feel after how many years of doing this will I ever be able to stand or walk without being in pain, without having to wear a belt which causes my ibs to act up?Due to insurance reasons I have been unable to seek more medical attention.I moved & then was without insurance.I seriously need help & Don't understand why this is happening still. I can not stand or walk for very long, even just around the block. If I do push myself then I spend the rest of the night & for sure the next day + in pain & can barely walk.I do not have the SI belt here but I have taught my boyfriend how to push me back into place so to speak. I learned this at the first pt I went to.Just going to the store or to the mall is an issue.I do have good days, but even on those I can not walk or stand for very long.My ?, is there any way that I can fix this issue on a permant basis, and to be able to relieve the pain?I am only 28 yrs old & I feel I am wasting my life by not being able to be as active as I should.I mean I am limited as to what kind of job I can have.I am limited in so many things.I would like to lose weight but I have hard time doing so as due to physical limiations. Please I need to know some ideas, some clues as to what to do.I know I need to seek a doctor, I will as soon as I am able to.
