Dear Kika, This does not mean that you wont ovulate again. You have PCOS and it may have happened as to some, but also you have PCOS. My thought is since we all know that PCOS usually is associated with insulin resistance a trial of metformin up to 2000 mg, starting with 500mg and increasing weekly to 2000mg may help prepapre you better for pregnancy. With pregnancy in the generalk population the degree of IR triples in normal women but rises 7 fold in women with PCOS. Your gyn and I also may suggest maintaining the metformin during the first trimester. Good luck.....worry less, it helps you better. Dr.Futterweit
