BREASTHEALTH: Small, hard knot under areola which moves

I am 22 years old and I just discoved a small knot, about the size of a pinhead, under the upper portion of my areola. It feels almost more as if it is attached to the skin than to tissues underneath because I can pull it up from the breast with the skin, but not side to side. It is not painful, until I start poking at it. It is not visibly raised, but is noticeable to the touch. I don't know what this is and I'm freaking out about it. Should I have it checked out????
