PREGNANCY: Study Links Obesity To Recurrent MiscarriageFrom: Hope Waltman (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 25 Sep 2008 06:18:42 -0500 (CDT)
"New research released at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) 7th International Scientific Meeting in Montreal, has found that obesity significantly increases the risk of a subsequent pregnancy loss in women with recurrent miscarriages. The study, from St Mary's hospital in London, aimed to investigate the effect of body mass index (BMI) on unexplained recurrent (three or more) miscarriage and included 696 women who attended a specialist clinic between 1996 and 2007." http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/122798.php Pregnancy/Birth: http://www.obgyn.net/pregnancy-birth/pregnancy-birth.asp Regards, Hope Waltman, Fibroid Forum and WH Forum Moderator http://www.hopeforfibroids.org http://www.doctorsinfoweb.com/doctors.htm UTERINE FIBROIDS INFO: http://www.obgyn.net/fibroid-resource-center/ http://www.obgyn.net/fibroid-resource-center/?page=articles/patient_articles
