UROGYNECOLOGY: 26yo cystoceleFrom: Christy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 30 Aug 2008 00:28:51 -0500 (CDT)
I posted 2 weeks ago with the incontinence issue. I have since went to the dr and was diagnosed with a grade 3 cystocele, rectocele, and SUI; I've had the urodynamic testing, and my dr has recommended an A&P repair, and TVT. After someone asked me about it, I started putting two and two together, and most of my problems happened after I herniated a disc(annular tear at L4-5) with the incontinence, which was about 6 months ago. I had other symptoms prior, but not with the cystocele; I noticed the bulge about 4months ago, but I was too embarrased to go to my OBGYN then. I didn't mention the incontinence to my primary dr who was treating my back injury or the injury to my OBGYN (I didn't associate the two until now). Do you think that's the reason for the incontinence and should I still have the surgery if it is from the disc?
