LABWORK: VERY Bizarre Reaction to Thyroid Test - Very Concerned About 2nd Test

I had a fasting blood test run today to check my thyroid, cortisol, Vitamin D, and many many other levels. I have had this test done before - so, I knew what to expect. After the tech drew all the "base levels" - she began to inject me with the following: Thyrel (TRH Med), Cortrosyn (ACTH Med) and maybe something else (these are the injections that were on my receipt for lab work).

After the last injection, I was expecting the hot flash and feeling of needing to urinate - but, the headache and the numbness that overtook me where bizarre. I was feeling sick - and knew that it would pass - but, it didn't. Both of my arms became completely numb and felt as if they had swollen to 10x their normal size. I could barely lift them. And, I began to have numbness in my head, face, neck and tongue. It became hard to talk. The doctor told me that one of the injections had thrown my body into extreme stress mode. The entire episode lasted about 10-15 minutes.

What exactly was I injected with? The research I have done seems to show that it may have been the cortrosyn that caused the problem (but, then again...I am not a doctor). My saliva cortisol level test showed that my cortisol levels were extremely low in March. It scared me. I had never felt like that. Next week, I am scheduled to have a Dexamethasone Suppression test - for high cortisol levels. I find this odd. And honestly, after today's experience - I am really afraid to take the Dexamethasone (0.5 mg tab) for 2 days (8 pills) before the blood test. I am scheduled for an ultrasound tomorrow morning (for goiter). My follow up visit is in 2 weeks. Would it be unwise to wait to see what today's blood tests revealed before proceeding with the Dexamthasone Suppression blood test?
