i have had three pregnancies, none of which have gone to term. in 1996 i had a d&c abortion at 8 weeks, in feb. in '08 i had a natural miscarriage one day after a positive pregnancy test at 4 weeks and low hcg levels. in june '08 i had a natural miscarriage at 10.6 weeks, fetus developed to 8.2 weeks after seeing a strong heartbeat on ultrasound after spotting at 6 weeks. 3 weeks after the most recent miscarriage i had an ultrasound which showed a 3.6 cm uterine fibroid. i don't know where it is other than at the top of my uterus. my midwfie assured me the miscarriages and fibroid are not related, but i've uncovered research that says otherwise. i'm seeing an ob/gyn next week and want to be armed with questions and desires for certain testing. do i explore removal of the fibroid? do i need hormone testing? does standard recurrent miscarriage testing battery cover my symptoms? etc.
