Ellen Sorry Doctors, I neglected to mention that my first pap was biopsy proven CIN1 prompted by LSIL with HPV effects and hrHPV+ for one or more strains. Two subsequent paps showed "negative for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy" but still hrHPV+ every time. I have tested hrHPV+ consistently over the course of two years and during the time I was infected with hrHPV, my formerly-dormant HSV-2 spiraled out of control. Previously my HSV was so completely dormant, I had utterly NO idea I had herpes. 1) Is "negative for intraepithelial/malignancy..." the new terminology for WNL? 2) Does HPV cause HSV to worsen and vice versa? Thanks.
